Dr. Cap Lesesne is a senior clinical professor of plastic surgery with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Lesesne specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and body, and is the only American-trained plastic surgeon licensed in both the United States and the United Kingdom.

Dr. Lesesne is board-certified through ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons), ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons), and the GMC (General Medical Council) in the United Kingdom. He operates out of his Park Avenue office in Manhattan, the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital, Northern Westchester Hospital in Westchester, NY, and Kingston Hospital in London, UK.
Education
Dr. Lesesne received his undergraduate degree with honors in International Affairs from Princeton University. He then attended Duke University School of Medicine, where he completed a four-year program in an accelerated three years. He later completed his residency in the combined general surgery and plastic surgery program at Stanford University School of Medicine, with further training at New York Hospital–Cornell University. He ultimately became Chief Resident at New York Hospital. He also received further specialized training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute.

Dr. Lesesne is the author of the lay book Confessions of a Park Avenue Plastic Surgeon, published by Penguin Press and Harper's Collins. It has been translated into English, Polish, Russian, Turkish, and Arabic.

Welcome to our surgical practice. My staff and I appreciate your interest. We will make every effort to provide you with a superlative experience and satisfying result. We believe that we offer a different experience in Plastic Surgery.
Plastic Surgery is the combination of analysis, surgical judgment, cosmetic sensibility, technical skill, and being a physician who cares for his patients. In today's world, it also includes judging suitable technology, drug safety, implant safety, and above all, being able to apply the right solution for the analysis, technical solution, and recovery. We also believe that the simplest, most direct solutions have the fastest recovery with the least risk.
My staff and I are constantly aware of new techniques and advances. I am a clinical professor at New York University Division of Plastic Surgery, A Correspondent Surgeon with the National Cancer Institute, a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgery. This is combined with nearly 30 years of experience and training from Princeton University, Duke Medical School, Stanford University School of Medicine, and Cornell University School of Medicine degree with High Honors. We are keenly aware of new advances. Nonetheless, I will not implement new technology or techniques unless they have stood the test of time and review.
We have an excellent safety record for office-based and hospital surgery. Our operating room was one of the first in New York State to be accredited by the Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation. I was among the first group in New York City trained in laser treatments. I was the first Plastic Surgery Office facility to only use Board Certified Anesthesiologists. We have never had an operating room mortality or morbidity. We were the first to use exclusively IV Sedation for all our procedures, believing that we could deliver a pain-free, rapid recovery, comfortable experience without General Anesthesia.
We have always been involved in research and presenting at national and international meetings. We were involved in the FDA study on silicone implants, the immunology of silicone, and early work on skin resurfacing lasers.
Current research is focusing on removing skin cancer with less scarring, manipulating breast implant pockets for improved lift, and short scar facial facelifts in men and women. Note: We do not perform research unless you are asked or are part if an NCI or University Study.
